Ok. Ok. I am not good at sticking to electronic communication. Cell phones, emails, text messages, myspace...not my thing. I am much better at meeting people for coffee. This is the reason that I blogged for a few days back in November and let it slide for quite a few months. I am now trying to get back on the band wagon. I am not going to over exert myself. Maybe one at the MAX two posts a week. But I am going to try. I so enjoy looking at other peoples blogs that it is motivating me to start over. This is my July resolution.

Lazy Saturday
The last week has felt crazy. I feel like I have been going non-stop. Walking every morning has been good, but I am ready to go to bed at 7pm. Sammy and I had something going every night of the week. Monday...ok, so I just realized I didn't do anything on Monday night, but Sammy chaperoned a bunch of high school soccer boys. That counts for me too right, since we are married and one flesh :) Tuesday... we spent the night with my sis and her husband playing on computers. (See pic below. Emma took the picture, didn't she do a great job?) Wednesday...Taco night at the Millers. We spend every Wed. at the home of our pastors family eating tacos and normally watching LOST. (LOST is taking a 3 month break, so we just ate tacos) It is a fun night filled with good friends and LOTS of highschool students. We played catch phrase and I got riled up. Thursday... Youth Group at church. Sammy and I are part of the junior high/high school group. It is a ton of fun with a great bunch of great kids. We then went home and finished the night with Grey's Anatomy. I'm addicted. Friday... that was a non-busy day too. I was exhausted when I got home from work and took a nap on the couch for about an hour before my hubby got home. We talked for awhile and then went to hit the sack. Maybe that doesn't sound busy to you, but is really took it out of me.
"How many computers is too many?"

After my nice coffee date, I then came home and watched football with my hubby. I guess I should say that I napped while he watched the football game. There is something about football that puts me to sleep. Maybe it transmits subliminal tryptophan to my brain causing me to hibernate. A few minutes ago a couple of friends came over to watch the second half of the game, J. and K. Sammy has a class with J. who brought his girlfriend of one month, K. Sammy and J. hang out a lot and play xbox together. The boys are talking fantasy football, and K. and I discussed our favorite magazines. Girls and boys are so different. Their eyes glazed over when the magazine subject came up.
Later tonight we are going to watch the UFC fights at my parents house. I don't what to say about the UFC. It is definitely an acquired taste. I can understand people really disliking it. What I like about it: 1. Having UFC parties and socializing with our friends and 2. Learning submission moves that I can use on Sammy. :)
Goodbye for now. Blessings.

"Draw Four"
I woke up at 5:50 this morning. It has been a LONG time since I have gotten up that early.
Since I worked nights for a year I am much more use to getting up at 3:00pm, then 5:50am. Everyone says that your body gets use to early morning wake up, and I hope they are right. The walk was good, but chilly. Our goal is to walk at LEAST 4 days a week. As long as we don't let each other off the hook, we should be ok. I was lucky and got to go home and back to bed which felt oh so good. My sister wasn't so lucky.
This is a picture of my husband playing on his Xbox 360. He is playing UNO with his friend in Seattle. They both have a camera attached to their
Xbox as well as a head set so they can hear each other. It is fun to watch them play. It is best to watch when they aren't partners because there whole goal is to mess the other one up and talk trash. It usually leads to a very long game.
I definitely enjoy the Xbox 360 over the old Xbox , first, because Sammy is so happy with it, and second, wireless controllers. If anyone has lived with someone that plays video games, they know what I am talking about. I hate the cords that are stung all over the room when he is playing or worse yet, when he has friends over to play. With wireless controller our living room looks cleaner, and less like an obstacle course. There are still days that I want to throw the Xbox out the window, but most days we are ok with each other.
I also took a trip down to Yaki-vegas with my sister. I have been very lucky to spend extra time with my sister. Normally I feel like we are ships crossing in the night because we both tend to be so busy. It was much easier to get together when I lived with her. Anyway, Yakima was fine. We were just making a quick Borders trip. It is a pain to have to drive 40 minutes away to find a book store, but that is the price you pay to enjoy small town living. Bookstores are the main thing I miss about Seattle. I loved being able to go chill in B&N, to read, study or just to escape.
I am now going to relax on the couch and anticipate my Monday night shows, Heroes and Studio 60. If anyone out there watches Heroes, I would love to talk plot theories... "Save the Cheerleader, Save the World"

24-22 Hawks!!
A good day for Seahawks fans today. I can't believe I am actually talking about the Seahawks score, but since I met and married my husband my sports knowledge has been steadily growing. I didn't grow up in a sports oriented family. I had never sat though an entire NFL broadcast until I met my husband. I can honestly say that I am really enjoying it. My favorite part is the social aspect. We get to have parties and friends over. Todays the party was at the parents house, (they have a rather large tv screen). There was much screaming, jumping off the couch and pizza. I loved watching all the men alternate between screaming and cheering the TV. Sammy's (my hubby) family got to spend most of the day with us which include his mom, Marilyn, Steve, his step-dad and Samuel, his bro. My parents, brother, sister, brother-in-law, two nieces, cousin kk and her fiance were all in attendance. We had lot's of fun.
My first day as overhead girl went well. Definitely nerve wracking, but good. My main concern is what to do with my hands. I am use to having a pew in front of me to rest them on, but I only have a small metal music stand that would probably topple over if I placed my bilateral arm weight on. I tried many positions, hands in front pockets, hands in back pockets, clasped in front of me, thumbs in beltloops. Nothing felt all that comfortable. I guess I will have to keep experimenting. I did manage to put all of the correct songs on at the right time in the right direction. Thank goodness. Now I just have to manage the hand dillema and I will be an expert.
I am getting up at the crack of dawn tomorrow morning to go walking with my sis. My weight has been steadily increasing over the last 6 months. I now only have two pairs of pants that fit and a closet full that don't. I am praying that we can stick to this walking schedule. It will be great to get some sis time. I also know that it is going to be great for my physical and emotional health. Wish me luck...

Megapixel Madness
A very long day. Good, but long. I spent a large amount of my day in Yakima trying to figure out what kind of digital camera to buy (I got the OK from the Hubby). I realized while I was staring at all the shiny cameras that I really should have had some idea what I wanted. The man at best buy was very nice, he spent at least 15 minutes with me trying to bring me up to speed on the world of digital cameras. Yet, I ended up getting the camera a Target. I love Target. I can spend so much money there and only end up with a small bag. (I also LOVE their commercials). Many pictures to come....
Tomorrow is my first day on the worship team. I'm a little nervous, but I have been praying about doing this for over a year. I am going to be the overhead girl. It is pretty much the only spot on the team that doesn't require you know how to play a instrument. If they needed me to, I could probably shake some of those egg shakers, but that is as musical as I get. The thing that I am most nervous about is making sure that I get the overheads on the screen correctly. The right song, and the right direction on the wall. I pray for grace.
On a family note; I was reading my sisters blog about how nice it is to be in your home town, and I would have to agree. I love being only 5 minutes away from all of my immediate family. It makes my heart happy. One benefit is when your mother can't sleep at night and she goes on mad taco soup making expeditions, thus...lunch and dinner for 2-3 days.
Ok, that all for now. I wish I was a night owl, but it just isn't in my blood. I am not really a morning girl either. I guess I do best in the middle of the day. Extremes are no good for me.
G'night

Homemade Mac n' Cheese
My first blog. A very new experiance for me. I am currently sitting between my lovely mother-in-law and my sassy sister. I just finished a wonderful bowl of homemade mac-n'-cheese. I am highly satisfied at the moment.
This experiance is making me want to invest in a digital camera. I want to start documenting my newly married life. I love looking at my families pictures of when I was little, and before I was born. So, the question is....what kind of camera to buy? And...is it in the budget.?
I recently changed jobs, and took a little pay cut, so the need for a budget is necessary. Yet, I have never been able to stick to a budget before. We will see.
That is all for now. I am getting sleepy.
